FREEDOM

Yesterday Davin had an appointment with the orthopedic surgeon and he was able to get his cast off! Davin was absolutely giddy about the whole thing. I thought I had been prepping him not to expect to get it off (since the doctor had said maybe two more weeks), but after seeing Davin's reaction, I realize he had no intention of leaving St. Christopher's with that cast on. He is doing great although he is very stiff and sore and does not like to be moved very much. We are taking it slow, and enjoying freedom!

Been there. It's exciting isn't it?

I ran into you over at Kim's in SC. Thought I'd come visit. It's nice here.

That is great news, Heather! He must be so glad to be out of that thing and able to have a little freedom.

Great news. I know you are both happy.

Davin is very glad to be out of that big cast. He is quite stiff, though, and is very sensitive about his hip. So, we are slowing beginning the "rehab" phase. He has to stay home one more full week from school and then he can try heading back. I know he is ready for some activity in his life!

Getting a cast off is kind of like getting braces off. Yes, it feels like a new found freedom!

Hooray for Davin! Glad he's been freed... And I'm looking forward to see him in January. Mom was going to give me your e-mail address so I could pester you about who was coming. I'm looking to car-pool as hubby is not going to come with me :( I am so excited about seeing everyone, but I still have to send my RSVP.

Bethany, I am so glad you can come, even if Adam can't come. Just email me and I will let you know who is coming. I haven't heard from many NY people, yet.
