Not Much To Say

So I have been MIA quite a bit recently from the blogging world. I do check in from time to time, but to tell the truth, I just haven't had much inspiring to say. I guess there have been lots of things to think about, pray about and read, but not much to blog about.

Alan and my middle kids were away for most of this week on a skiing trip. So, it was just Davin and me at home. We made out just fine, but boy was it quiet. (okay, except for the dogs)

This weekend Cheney will take his SATs which is a big deal to him. After that, we will head over to the Awana Games (formerly the Olympics!) to watch my Sparks team claim a victory???!! It will be a great time, I am sure. The Awana Games are always so much fun. It seems like just a few years ago that my girls and Bethany were practicing the games. They were so serious about it. They had such a good time and even won a couple gold medals along the way. My girls are coaches this year and are as excited as ever. I am hoping their excitement will spread to the girls and everyone will be so pumped up! If I were Martha, I would have one of the pictures of the girls competing to put up, but I don't know how to do that with old pictures. Martha???

What an honest post. I often feel the same way about blogging.

You are such a dedicated AWANA leader. I am singing the AWANA theme song in my head as I write.

Yep, I still rememeber it!!!LOL

Scanner. First you have to find an old picture (that is my biggest challange), then you scan it to your computer and finally you post it on the blog. Maybe Bethany has some photos she can post for us.

"We are Sparks for Jesus, Sparks to light the world..."

Such good memories. Maybe Bethany does. I know we have some from the JV jam that Ashleigh, Bethany Ann and Bethany Alyssa won the gold medal at, but I will see if Alan can help me with the scanning thing. Firmly AWANA stands...

Michelle, I just seem to be in some kind of funk and didn't think that would be very encouraging to everyone in the blog world.

You are in my prayers as always!

Maybe your mind and body are recovering from the busyness of the past few months.

"We are AWANA Cubbies, we're happy all day long. We know that Jesus loves us, that's why we sing this song."

I appreciated your post. I remember when my neighbors children were in Awana's...those were good times.

(All these years later and I still rememeber. Alan should be proud.)

I have many fun memories of AWANA. Ashleigh and I were really into those games and I was really disappointed when we couldn't run the three-legged race together anymore. She grew and I didn't :(

That was sad, Bethany. You guys were so awesome. I can still remember watching you two run it. Very proud moments!! Good times. Good memories. Not to mention that you can never go wrong memorizing God's word:)

As far as blogging, sometimes I just reach deep in my heart and blog what is there. Just a thought.
